MT, C.I., F.NGH Program summary This is an evidence based, fast pace, “hands on” hypnosis education program. Learners will gain knowledge and skills through a proven training method with a highly experienced instructor. It is a perfect ground level hypnosis course, designed for mature students whose goal is to improve themselves and the people around them, or considering going into professional practice and want a convenient way to get started. Through lectures, demonstration and practice, the instructor will walk students through every facet of a hypnosis session. From suggestibility testing, to pre talk, induction, depth testing, suggestion, awakening to post hypnotic suggestion, learners will have the knowledge and skills to conduct an entire hypnosis session by the end of the first day. The second day, students will be introduce to different induction methods, intervention techniques for stress relief, smoking cessation as well as weight loss. Day three and day four are optional practice days. Students who wish stay behind can benefit from practicing the techniques learn while it is still fresh in their mind. About the instructor Bernard Yam is the host of the legendary TV show “Hypnotist Bernie’s Exposition”, where he hypnotize guest to solve their problems on prime time, live TV. In 2004, at the age of 23, he became the youngest person to give a full lecture on hypnosis at Harvard University’s “Introduction to Psychology” class. He is a Fellow of the National Guild of Hypnotist, with advanced instructor status and board certification. He was the first Guild member to give clinical demonstrations at Harvard Medical School’s research hospitals, where he routinely hypnotizes intern doctors before large groups of attending physicians. It is his personal mission to bring clinical hypnosis to the forefront of Nobel Prize caliber medical establishments. Prior to his hypnosis career, Bernard was a former Naval Officer. He also worked as a sale manager at an energy trading firm. He was an active member of his high school and college debate team, and coached public speaking in various setting. He has a passion for creative writing, and once contemplated a career as a professional poet. Bernard’s approach to hypnosis is a mixture of concrete evidence, humanistic compassion and practitioner’s intuition. He is constantly inventing new techniques and creating new paradigm.
